Email Types
A welcome email would greet someone when they become a member — for example after Daniel Murphy Adds a Client.
The client form requires Email. That does not by itself send a welcome message.
Welcome is not in the All events list on Email Templates. Confirmed events are on Which Events Can Trigger an Email. Do not set up a welcome template until that event appears.
The closest related events today are things like Package Purchased or Booking Created, which fire after a purchase or booking, not when the client record is created.

Class Reminders
A class reminder would email a member before an upcoming Class.
The Setup Checklist Stage 5 still mentions class reminders. That item is not the same as an Event Type on this screen.
Class reminder is not in the All events list on Email Templates. There is no reminder timing (for example hours before class) on this page. See Which Events Can Trigger an Email.
Booking-related events that are on the list: Booking Created, Booking Confirmed, Booking Cancelled, Booking Pending Payment. Those are booking status emails, not a timed class reminder.
If Stage 5 opens a different Settings screen, capture that separately. Until then, do not document a 24-hour reminder.
Waiting-List Update Emails
Waitlist emails use two Event Type values on Email Templates:
| Event | When it happens (from the name) |
|---|---|
| Waitlist Joined | The member joins the Waiting List |
| Waitlist Promoted | The member is promoted from the waitlist |
Those names are on All events. See Which Events Can Trigger an Email.
Automatic promotion into a class is documented as not fully confirmed on Move Into the Class. Waitlist Promoted is still the event name to attach a template to.
Workflow — Configure Waiting-List Emails
Email Templates → + Create Template → Waitlist Joined or Waitlist Promoted → Subject → Body → Active → Create Template
Step 1 — Create or Edit the Template
Open Studio → Notification → Email Notification.
Step 2 — Choose the Event
Set Event Type to Waitlist Joined or Waitlist Promoted. You need a separate template for each event you want to send.
Step 3 — Write and Activate
Add subject and body. Insert Placeholders from DYNAMIC VARIABLES (booking tokens if they appear for that event). Set Active — used for automatic sends. Preview, then save.
There is no Waitlist template on the current list of three. Create one if members should receive these emails.
Birthday Messages
A birthday message would use the member’s Date of Birth from Clients. That field exists on the client form. It does not prove Fitnez Studio sends a birthday email.
Birthday is not in the All events list on Email Templates. Do not document send-on-the-day timing. See Which Events Can Trigger an Email.
