Waiting List
The waiting list is the queue of members hoping for a place in a full class. Use it when CAPACITY is full and the class still allows a waitlist.
What is the Waiting List?
A waitlisted member does not yet have a booked place. They are waiting for a spot to free — for example if someone cancels.
This is different from a booking in the class. The topic plan uses Waiting as a booking status for this queue. That word is not on the current screenshots.
Where It Appears
| Place | What is confirmed |
|---|---|
| Training → Classes | WAITLIST CAP on each class, such as 0 |
| Dashboard | On waitlist — how many people are waiting today |
| Class roster | The name list is not in a screenshot yet |
WAITLIST CAP is the maximum size of the waitlist for that class, not how many people are on it. A cap of 0 on the Classes screenshot means those rows have a zero waitlist cap.
What Happens Before the Class Starts
The topic plan includes clearing the waiting list before a class starts (a Settings rule). When that happens, and whether members are notified, is not confirmed.
Automatic promotion into the class when a place frees is also not confirmed. See Move into the Class.
Frequently Asked Questions
When should I use the waiting list?
When the class is full and waitlist cap allows another person to wait.
Does a waitlisted member count toward CAPACITY?
Capacity is booked versus maximum on the class row. Waitlist cap is a separate column. Do not mix those two numbers.
